Abstract:
36 volunteers were randomly assigned to three experimental conditions following successful completion of a custom designed vividness of imagery pretest. They were timed on the task of completing a visual image created by joining together visual shapes functioning like "puzzle pieces." A significant linear relationship between difficulty and time to perform operations was found; men and women performed similarly.
