Syringomas on the buttocks: case report

Background:

• Syringomas are benign neoplasms originating from eccrine sweat ducts.

Observation:

• A 62-year-old male patient presented with multiple, asymptomatic lesions.
• Lesions had been present for 40 years.
• Distribution included the buttocks, upper anterior thighs, groin, malar cheeks, and periorbital areas.

Findings:

• The patient exhibited a rare and extensive presentation of syringomas.
• The widespread distribution and long duration of lesions are unique compared to existing literature.
• Histopathological confirmation of eccrine ductal origin was established.

Implications:

• This case expands the known spectrum of syringoma presentation.
• Highlights the importance of considering atypical locations and long-standing lesions in dermatological diagnosis.
• Contributes to understanding the variable clinical behavior of benign adnexal neoplasms.
