[Recurrent and residual echinococcosis of the abdominal organs]

The article gives information on 14 patients who were operated on for a second time for echinococcosis of various localization. The authors conclude that all cases in which the carrier of the germ elements of the parasite remains in the organism should be logically called residual and not false recurrence. A disease caused by a new infection should be called ++re-invasive echinococcosis but not a true recurrence.
