Summary

Researchers developed a novel photochemical method to create surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS)-active silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) using chitosan. UV irradiation at 310 nm yielded the most effective SERS activity, influenced by pH and chitosan presence.
