Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the interleukin-28B (IL-28B) gene are linked to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) susceptibility in Han Chinese. Specific IL-28B genotypes increase HCC risk and the likelihood of tumor thrombosis in portal vein (TTPV).
