Adult celiac disease patients exhibit a larger forehead (trichion-nasion length) compared to controls. However, this facial asymmetry measure lacks the specificity for reliable celiac disease screening in adults.

Background:
- Facial symmetry analysis, particularly the trichion-nasion (tn) to nasion-subnasal (ns) ratio, has been proposed as a potential indicator for celiac disease (CD).
- Previous studies suggest adults with CD may present with a proportionally larger forehead (superior facial third) compared to the middle facial third.
Purpose of the Study:

- A study involving 126 biopsy-proven celiac disease patients (76 children, 50 adults) and 102 healthy controls (43 children, 59 adults).

- The low specificity of forehead extension measurement limits its utility as a screening tool for celiac disease.
