Abstract:
Trichinella spiralis encapsulated larvae specimens were stained with acetate alum carmine staining solution. Four procedures were compared: (1) specimen stained for 20 h, and faded; (2) specimen stained for 2.5 h without fading; (3) specimen stained for 20 h without fading; (4) specimen stained for 20 h, and faded. The results showed that the first method is optimal, which clearly distinguishes the capsula, encapsulated larva and muscle cells.
