Sofosbuvir demonstrated high efficacy in treating chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. Regimens including sofosbuvir showed a 90% sustained virologic response in genotypes 1 and 4, and 67% in genotypes 2 and 3, with fewer adverse events.
