Abstract:
Faced with the growing number of people suffering from heart failure, mechanical circulatory support techniques have developed in order to improve the survival of patients not responding to optimal medical treatment. Rennes university hospital therefore decided to create a VAD (Ventricular Assist Device) nurse coordinator position to improve and optimise the quality of the follow-up of these patients. She plays a crucial role in the care of the patient, before, during and after hospitalisation.
