Abstract:
A device for inserting a catheter into the trachea and bronchi is described. The data are given about 150 catheterizations made in patients with acute lung abscesses, chronic bronchitis , and so forth. The device under consideration was found to be effective in clinical practice, enabling the reduction of the patients' stay at hospital by 4 to 5 days. Besides, it produced no complications or side effects.
