Summary

Linear lichen planus is a rare skin condition in children. This case report details a pediatric patient with this unusual presentation along Blaschko lines.

Background:

Lichen planus is a rare inflammatory condition in children, accounting for 2-3% of cases.
Lesions typically present with varied morphology and distribution.
Linear lichen planus, a rare variant, affects less than 0.2% of patients, with lesions following Blaschko lines.

Observation:

A case report of a 2-year-old child with lichen planus.
The patient presented with keratotic violaceous papules.
Lesions were distributed along the Blaschko lines on the abdomen, buttocks, and right thigh.

Findings:

Histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis.
The diagnosis was established as linear lichen planus.
This confirms a rare pediatric presentation of the disease.
