Background:

Telehealth utilizes technology for innovative educational strategies.
This approach aims to enhance professional practices in speech-language pathology (SLP).

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate a specific SLP technology designed for distance learning.

Main Methods:

Fourth-year SLP students (n=60) from three Brazilian universities participated.
An experimental group (EG) used the technology, while a control group (CG) did not.
Pre- and post-questionnaires assessed learning and technology validity.

Main Results:

The experimental group demonstrated improved performance.
The control group's performance generally worsened compared to the EG.

Conclusions:

The evaluated SLP technology effectively met the needs of the studied student population.
The technology is a valuable supplement to conventional teaching methods in SLP.
