Non-alcoholic beverages, unknown influence on cell proliferation - an in vitro study

Diet and non-diet soft drinks, including Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola, were tested for their effects on cell proliferation. Results showed soft drinks increased cell growth, independent of sugar content, suggesting an unknown factor is involved.
