Summary
The Inferior>Superior>Temporal (IST) rule better describes peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness in normal eyes than the ISNT rule. However, neither rule is clinically useful for diagnosing glaucoma using HRT or OCT measurements.
