[Orthognathic surgery treatment of adult Class III malocclusion]

A 19-year-old man was first seen with a chief complaint of mandibular protrusion and TMJ pain. His records showed a class III malocclusion with excessive mandibular body length and poor facial profile. Treatment was done with a multibracket orthodontie appliance combined with a surgical mandibular back using a Obwegeser method. In this report, we appraised the changing rate of MKG and EMG in pre-treatment, post-surgery, and during the retention phase.
