Stretch-Induced Reductions in Throwing Performance Are Attenuated by Warm-up Before Exercise.

Static stretching before exercise can reduce muscular performance. However, combining static stretching with dynamic warm-up exercises before athletic activity prevents this performance reduction, particularly in throwing. Athletes should incorporate dynamic warm-ups with static stretching to maintain strength.
