Thyroid volume in patients with glucose metabolism disorders

Patients with glucose metabolism disorders (GMD) and diabetes mellitus (DM) have larger thyroid volumes. This study found a significant positive correlation between GMD/DM and increased thyroid size, highlighting the thyroid as a metabolic disorder target.
