Left-sided strokes are more often recognized than right-sided strokes: the Rotterdam study

Clinical ischemic strokes and transient ischemic attacks (TIAs) are more often diagnosed as left-sided, but MRI scans show no such difference. This suggests clinicians may more easily recognize left-sided strokes and TIAs, highlighting a need for greater attention to right-sided symptoms.
