Summary

Researchers developed a Polynesian version of the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) for cognitive assessment. The new Polynesian MMSE (P-MMSE) demonstrated good sensitivity and specificity in detecting Alzheimer disease, with a general cut-off score of ≤23.
