High-attenuation crescent sign on computed tomography in acute abdominal aortic aneurysm
1St Vincent's University Hospital, Dublin, Ireland.
Abstract:
We present an interesting radiologic finding in a 65-year-old gentleman who attended our emergency department (ED)with sudden-onset severe abdominal pain. Non–contrast-enhanced computed tomography of the abdomen revealed a 7-cm abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA)which demonstrated the high-attenuation crescent sign (HACS).
