Observation:

  • A 22-year-old male presented with headache, vomiting, drowsiness, and left hemiparesis.
  • X-ray computed tomography (CT) revealed a ring-enhancing lesion near the falx.
  • MRI demonstrated extensive T1 and T2 signal abnormalities along the falx.

Findings:

  • MRI confirmed the diagnosis and provided superior evaluation of abscess extension and surrounding edema compared to CT.
  • Surgical intervention with pus aspiration and continuous drainage led to full recovery.
