Palliative cryosurgery for oral cavity malignant melanoma: a case report

Abstract:
A case of unresectable malignant melanoma of the oral cavity, treated with cryosurgery, is reported. A complete remission of 10 months was obtained, followed by 2 local recurrences, both treated successfully (CR: 9 and 4 months). At 23 months after the first treatment, a new local recurrence was considered untreatable.
