The 10-year evolution of guided surgery
Abstract:
The evolution of surgical techniques and fine-tuning of surgical methodology have allowed for more predictable results and esthetic outcomes. Examination of and reflection upon the evolution of guided surgery has allowed practitioners to refine the guided implant surgery procedure. The extent of the precision for recognizing anatomical landmarks, for implant placement and for restorative procedures allows clinicians to obtain more predictable results, which can lead to increased implant and prosthesis success and ultimately patient satisfaction.
