Neurologic assessment of the multiple trauma patient

Assessment and documentation of neurologic deficits are critical for prompt intervention to correct or prevent the deficit. The ability to identify signs and symptoms of neurologic deficit which may be life threatening or permanently disabling is an important component of nursing assessment for multiple trauma patients.
