Baseline haemoglobin A1c influences retinal function after long-term insulin pump therapy

Continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII) therapy showed long-term negative effects on retinal function in type 1 diabetes patients. Poorer baseline glycemic control significantly predicted this decline in electroretinography and dark adaptometry.
