Summary

Insecticide-based interventions may reduce cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) incidence by controlling sandfly populations. However, evidence is insufficient to determine the most effective method among indoor residual spraying (IRS), insecticide-treated bednets (ITNs), or treated clothing for CL and visceral leishmaniasis (VL) prevention.
