Odontogenic and rhinogenic chronic sinusitis: a modern microbiological comparison

- SCDDT involves extensive microbial contamination in the maxillary sinus, differentiating it from rhinogenic sinusitis.
- These findings underscore the necessity for specialized treatment approaches for SCDDT.
- Further research into targeted therapies for SCDDT is warranted.
