    Summary

Kruarone, a Russian muscular relaxant, demonstrated comparable efficacy and safety to Esmerone in balanced anesthesia for laparoscopic cholecystectomy. This study found Kruarone provided effective neuromuscular blockade without adverse events or cumulative effects.

    Area of Science:

    • Anesthesiology
    • Pharmacology
    • Surgical Innovation

    Background:

    • Laparoscopic cholecystectomy requires effective neuromuscular blockade for optimal surgical conditions.
    • Balanced anesthesia protocols necessitate reliable and safe muscle relaxants.
    • Comparative studies are crucial for evaluating new anesthetic agents.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To compare the efficacy and safety of Kruarone versus Esmerone in balanced anesthesia during laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
    • To assess Kruarone's neuromuscular blocking properties, including onset, duration, and stability.
    • To evaluate Kruarone's safety profile, focusing on adverse events, cumulative effects, and hemodynamic impact.

    Main Methods:

    • A single-blind, comparative, prospective, randomized clinical trial.

    Related Experiment Videos

  • Inclusion of 80 patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy, randomized into two equal groups.
  • Administration of Kruarone or Esmerone as part of a multicomponent balanced anesthesia regimen.
  • Main Results:

    • Kruarone exhibited rapid onset and provided optimal muscle relaxation for laryngoscopy and tracheal intubation.
    • High-quality, stable neuromuscular blockade was achieved with Kruarone, minimizing the need for frequent redosing.
    • No adverse events, allergic reactions, or significant hemodynamic effects were observed during 24-hour surveillance; no cumulative effect was noted.

    Conclusions:

    • Kruarone (0.6 mg/kg) is as effective and safe as Esmerone in similar dosages for balanced anesthesia in laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
    • Kruarone offers a favorable safety profile, including rapid action and lack of cumulative effects, making it a viable alternative muscle relaxant.
    • The study supports the use of Kruarone in anesthetic practice for procedures requiring controlled neuromuscular blockade.
