This case highlights a rare exophytic retinal capillary hemangioma (RCH), an atypical growth pattern often missed. Advanced imaging confirmed the diagnosis, leading to timely treatment for this rare RCH presentation.
Area of Science:
- Ophthalmology
- Medical Imaging
- Oncology
Background:
- Retinal capillary hemangioma (RCH) typically presents as an endophytic lesion.
- Exophytic RCH is rare and can be challenging to diagnose due to its subtle presentation.
- RCH can be sporadic or associated with von Hippel-Lindau disease.
