Abstract:
Knowledge of the reliability and effectiveness of differentiation may ensure the objective evaluation of investigation results, the choice of optimal tests. With the diagnosis of Staphylococcus aureus carriage used as an example, the method for the calculation of mistakes in differentiation, characterizing its reliability and effectiveness is proposed. Calculations are carried out by simple computations with the use of formulae and nomograms.
