Summary

Toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9) gene variations are linked to systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) risk. Specifically, the TLR9 rs187084 polymorphism increases SLE susceptibility in Asian populations, while other TLR9 SNPs show no significant association.
