Reduced striatal dopamine D2/3 receptor availability in Body Dysmorphic Disorder

This study found lower dopamine D2/3 receptor availability in the striatum of individuals with Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) compared to healthy controls. These findings suggest a link between the dopaminergic system and BDD pathophysiology.
