Summary

Isolated hyoid surgery significantly reduces obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) severity, decreasing the apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) by 38.3% and improving daytime sleepiness. Hyothyroidopexy showed the greatest AHI reduction, but more research is needed.
