|February 4, 2016
Abstract:
Continuing nursing education (CNE) programs are designed to contribute to nurses' professional development and to keep current on the latest knowledge and advances in health care. The American Nurses Credentialing Center has begun to focus on the evaluation of outcomes from CNE. This has required changes in the way CNE providers evaluate their program offerings. The creation of an outcome measurement plan for a CNE provider unit produced a method to meet these changes. This article describes the process of developing the plan and discusses several tools to measure outcomes.
