The anterior midcingulate cortex as a neural node underlying hostility in young adults

Hostility, a prolonged emotion linked to psychological issues, is associated with increased gray matter density in the anterior midcingulate cortex (aMCC) and frontal regions. These neural correlates of hostility are distinct from those of anger.
