Abstract:
A Rorschach test analysis of the primary thought process in 25 schizophrenic patients has been carried out using the R. Holt method. This method makes it possible to isolate and quantify so-called "pripro" (i.e. primary product) responses as a direct expression of the primary thought process as well as its libidinous or aggressive components; these components are further analysed in relation to the possible acceptance or rejection factor on the part of the environment. Analysis and quantification of the formal variables and of the formal level of each response already to some extent considered by classical analysis is also obtained; these data can prove useful for following the development of cases under treatment over time.
