Summary

Directly perfusing and cooling the brain during cardiac arrest (CA) using extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) can improve cerebral oxygenation. Antegrade perfusion via the carotid artery showed superior results in restoring oxygen levels and inducing hypothermia.
