Bilateral femoral angiography: a step-by-step approach

A "stepping table top" is utilized for angiography that visualizes pelvic and peripheral vessels from the aortic bifurcation to the pedal arch. The stepping table moves the distance of a film (12 in) coincidentally with a bolus column of contrast media down the lower extremities. By timing a bolus of contrast media accurately, a program can be created to ensure table movements that match peak opacification of the blood vessels at each station.
