Cardiosphere-derived cells do not improve cardiac function in rats with cardiac failure

Cardiosphere-derived cells (CDC) did not improve cardiac function or remodeling in a rat model of heart failure 60 days after myocardial infarction. This study challenges the effectiveness of CDC therapy for post-ischemic heart failure.
