Chromosome 7 Multiplication in EGFR-positive Lung Carcinomas Based on Tissue Microarray Analysis

Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) over-expression in non-small cell lung cancer is linked to chromosome 7 multiplication. This includes gene amplification and centromere copy number changes, impacting targeted therapy selection.

- Chromosome 7 multiplication, whether through centromere amplification or polysomy, is a critical factor for selecting patients eligible for monoclonal antibody-targeted therapies.
