Lipoic acid in secondary progressive MS: A randomized controlled pilot trial.

Lipoic acid (LA) significantly slowed brain atrophy in secondary progressive multiple sclerosis (SPMS) patients over two years. This antioxidant demonstrated a 68% reduction in brain volume loss, suggesting clinical benefits and favorable safety.
