Heart failure with mid-range ejection fraction (HFmrEF) presents an intermediate clinical profile. While HFmrEF shares characteristics with both reduced (HFrEF) and preserved (HFpEF) ejection fraction heart failure, its mortality risk is similar to HFpEF, especially without coronary artery disease.
