Abstract:
Hospitals are being challenged to deliver inpatient care at lower costs due to declining net profit margins under fixed rate reimbursement. This 133-bed acute-care facility integrated respiratory therapy and housekeeping within nursing in an effort to empower nurses while decreasing operational expenses.
