She earned an MSN in nursing from Ohio State University and a PhD in sociology from North Carolina State University. As a medical sociologist, she studies medication errors and the meanings of illness. Jackie H. Jones, EdD, MSN, RN, is a professor of nursing at Kennesaw State University. She holds her MSN from Vanderbilt University and earned an EdD in higher education from the University of Georgia. A nurse educator for 18 years, she has extensive experience as a clinician, primarily in acute and critical care. Her primary research focuses on medication errors.
