[Bleomycin-induced Flagellated dermatitis: A case report].

Observation:

• A case report of an 8-year-old female treated for a central nervous system neoplasm with the PEB protocol, including bleomycin.
• Developed intermittent pruritus and characteristic flagellated dermatitis lesions on the abdomen and back two days post-bleomycin administration.
• Presented with erythematous and pigmented maculae in a linear, flagellated distribution with excoriations.

Findings:

• Topical mild-potency corticosteroids were administered for ten days.
• The patient showed a satisfactory clinical response to the topical corticosteroid treatment.
• The skin lesions resolved with appropriate management.

Implications:

• High diagnostic suspicion is crucial for pediatric patients with a history of bleomycin exposure presenting with characteristic skin lesions.
• Early identification and management can allow for continued chemotherapy and prevent complications.
• This case highlights the importance of recognizing bleomycin-induced flagellated dermatitis in pediatric oncology.
