The association between diabetes and thoracic aortic aneurysms.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) shows a protective effect against thoracic aortic aneurysms (TAA), similar to abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA). Further research is needed to understand these protective mechanisms for potential therapeutic applications.
