High dose intensity of chemotherapy, particularly cyclophosphamide, is linked to better outcomes in diffuse large cell lymphoma. Achieving complete remission and improved survival rates were associated with higher relative dose intensity (RDI).

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the relationship between relative dose intensity (RDI) of the cyclophosphamide, adriamycin, vincristine, and prednisone (CHOP) regimen and therapeutic outcomes.
  • To determine if higher RDI correlates with improved complete remission (CR) rates and survival in patients with diffuse large cell lymphoma.

  • Retrospective analysis of 78 newly diagnosed diffuse histiocytic and mixed non-Hodgkin's lymphoma patients.
  • Calculation of RDI for the CHOP regimen, cyclophosphamide (CTX), and adriamycin.

    • High relative dose intensity (RDI) is crucial for improving treatment results in diffuse large cell lymphoma.
    • Maintaining high dose intensity, particularly for cyclophosphamide, may enhance survival in these patients.
