[Pathophysiology of primary testicular dysfunction]

This review summarizes the most important forms of primary testicular dysfunction with particular reference to new pathophysiological concepts that may lead to a better understanding of primary testicular dysfunctions. The observed abnormalities can be used as a model to understand the multiple interactions of the different gonadal compartments.
