[A case of heterotopic bone formation in the kidney]
Hinyokika Kiyo. Acta Urologica Japonica
|July 1, 1986
Abstract:
A case of heterotopic bone formation in the right kidney is presented. The case was a 58-year-old woman who complained of right flank pain. Excretory pyelography revealed that the kidney was nonfunctioning and had a few calcification shadows. The right kidney was removed. By histological examination of the surgical specimen, the heterotopic bone formation with bone marrow was found beneath the renal pelvic mucous membrane.
