Online education in cytotechnology programs: a pilot study.

Online education using virtual microscopy (VM) can effectively train cytotechnology students in screening and interpretation skills, comparable to traditional light microscopy (LM) methods. This study suggests VM is a viable sole teaching tool for cytotechnology programs.
